Restoring your property after a water loss

Zolman Restoration’s personal property services provide comprehensive solutions for the restoration and protection of individuals’ cherished belongings in the aftermath of a loss at their home or business.

Process Overview

First Response

The personal property restoration process begins with a through assessment of the damage. Zolman’s experienced professionals meticulously evaluate each item affected by the loss, creating a detailed inventory. This step is crucial to determine the extent of the damage and scope of work required.

Pack Out / On-Site Clean

Once the assessment is complete, our team uses state-of-the-art techniques and specialized equipment to carefully restore damaged items. This phase involves a delicate balance between effective restoration and maintaining the sentimental and functional value of each possession.

Content Restoration Storage

Beyond the physical restoration, we understand the emotional significance of personal belongings. Our process includes documentation of memories associated with each item. This approach not only aids in the restoration efforts but also provides a meaningful record of the cherished possessions, contributing to the emotional healing of our clients.

Delivery / Unpack

The final step involves a thorough inspection of all restored items to ensure they meet Zolman’s high standards of quality. Once approved, we coordinate the safe delivery of the restored property to our clients.

How We Can Help

PREVENTION TIPS

  • Snow Removal: Regularly remove snow from walkways, driveways, and roots to prevent ice dams and structural damage. Use salt or ice melt products carefully to avoid damage to surfaces and possessions.
  • HVAC Maintenance: Ensure your heating system is in good working order to avoid issues like burst pipes due to low temperatures. Regularly change air filters to maintain optimal air quality and protect belongings from dust and allergens.
  • Inspect roof, gutters, and downspouts for damage
  • Clear out debris
  • Ensure gutters are securely attached to the property
  • Install gutter guards to prevent clogging
  • Search the foundation for any cracks and leaks
  • Fire Safety: During dry months, the risk of wildfires increases. Create a defensible space around your property by clearing debris and maintaining a safe distance between flammable materials and your home. Store important documents in fireproof safes.
  • UV Protection: Sunlight can damage furniture, artwork, and fabrics. Use curtains, blinds, or UV-resistant coatings on windows to reduce sun exposure. Rotate and reposition items to ensure even wear and protect against fading.
  • Gutter Maintenance: Falling leaves can clog gutters, leading to water damage. Clean gutters and downspouts to ensure proper drainage. Install gutter guards to prevent unnecessary debris buildup.
  • Cold Weather Prep: As temperatures drop, protect against freezing conditions. Winterize outdoor plumbing, and store outdoor furniture and delicate items indoors. Wrap pipes to prevent them from bursting during freezing temperatures.
